Job Opportunity – Teen Night Facilitator
DICES is Hiring!

The Denman Island Community Education Society is always seeking a highly motivated and community focused individual to fill the position of Teen Night facilitator.

The Teen night facilitator works closely with other DICES staff to plan and deliver programs to youth ages 13 to 19 years old. The facilitator works with youth on Friday nights from 7 to 10pm during the school year.

The successful applicant:

~ Must enjoy working with youth
~ Must pass a current criminal record check
~ Must have or be willing to get First Aid
~ Reliability, and ability to commit to a schedule that includes evenings
~ Ability to work as part of a team and collaborate with others
~ Ability to follow DICES procedures
~ Act as a role model for youth
~ Experience supervising youth is desirable

Youth Squad
A weekly gathering with Grade 6 and 7 students to build connections, supportive relationships and leadership through fun and creative activities that promote mental and physical wellness. Sara creates a safe and comfortable space to just be oneself, through funny games and improv, weird crafts and art projects, strange science experiments, more active mindful and playful movement, and always good snacks and tea. Youth ( grades 6-7) home schoolers welcome.
