Holiday Hampers 2024
We’re starting this season’s Holiday Hampers!
The Holiday Hampers are made up of boxes filled with wrapped presents, fresh produce, turkey, ham, or vegan options, treats, and of course, basic groceries to last the festive season. They support food security for families and individuals in our community who need it. The hampers are fully organized and funded by the generosity of Denman Islanders by way of donations and volunteer efforts.

Donations are welcome!
Gifts, treats and specialty items can be dropped off at the Hardware store during business hours. We especially welcome gifts that could be appreciated by a range of people such as gloves, notebooks, games, wooden cutting boars, mugs etc. and we encourage you to support our local stores and crafters.
Cash and cheque donations can be dropped off at the foyer of the Community School in the drawer marked Community Programs or in the donation jars at the local stores. Cheques need to be made out to DICES.
E-transfers can be made to dices.communityprograms@gmail.com (please specify Holiday Hampers and your address in the memo). You can also make a donation online at www.canadahelps.org (search DICES).
Monetary donations over $20 will receive a charitable tax receipt and it is helpful if we receive the donations by December 12. Groceries and produce for the hampers will be purchased with the money that is donated.
Volunteer opportunities
Last year, the presents were wrapped at the Community Hall on the morning of December 22nd. To lend a hand as a wrapper of presents, food packer or delivery driver in the future – please email Sadie at dices.communityprograms@gmail.com or call 250 335 2058.
We have chosen to call this community service Holiday Hampers to make it inclusive for everyone, regardless of cultural background or religious beliefs.
